Last summer we interviewed Mike Andreas, an independent filmmaker producing a documentary on the navel vessel the USS Turner Joy and its involvement in the Gulf of Tonkin Incident that helped spark the Vietnam War. Mike and his team have since been hard at work on the project and just a few weeks ago they released the first footage from their upcoming film. You can watch it below:
At Local Film Talk our goal is to support independent film and help people spread the word about their projects. It's very exciting to see this film move closer to completion and we can't wait to see the final product.
This week we're taking a look back at our original conversation with Mike where he shared the story of the project's inception and what he hoped to accomplish by sharing a different side of history with the public.

Thanks again to Mike and Pamela for talking with us about their project, and good luck to the entire crew as they work to finish their film!
